In the mid 1970’s the members of the Architectural
Psychology Research Unity received a commission from the
Australian Council for the Arts (later the Australia Council)
to complete a study of recreation and the arts in the Blacktown
local government are.
Another study was commissioned by Warringah
Shire, and in 1978, a study of housing and the arts and crafts
and performing arts completed for the Australia Council.
These have been included because of their uniqueness at
the time
