The Australian Cinema and Theatre Society (NSW based)
www.austcinesociety.com.au
ACTS provides information relating principally to
Australian theatres, and encourages further interest and study in this
neglected segment of our cultural history.
Society activities include theatre inspections, coach tours and nostalgia
film screenings, all of which provide members with an opportunity to
meet socially.
ACTS membership is open to everyone and represents a wide area of cinema and
theatre-related interests across the community. Members include students, academics,
film buffs, cinema owners and operators, directors, producers, technicians, historians,
archivists, collectors and those simply with an interest in watching movies at
the cinema or on video and its newer technology, DVD.
